All attorneys who are in good standing in the State Bar of Georgia are eligible for membership. Your support is appreciated and you will be recognized in all DBA newsletter editions.

Members are asked to join the Mentorship Program to assist students in the transition from law school to the practice of law. Mentors would attend one luncheon and one social introducing the student to other members. There will be a special social honoring members of the program each year. Please designate multiple practice areas in which you could assist.

Any person in the following categories is eligible to be an associate member:

• Any person other than a member of the State Bar of Georgia who is duly admitted to practice law and is in good standing in any state, territory or possession of the United States.
• Any former active member of the Association who no longer maintains an office for the practice of law, and is a member in good standing of the State Bar of Georgia.
• Any member of the State Bar of Georgia who has elected to become inactive with the State Bar of Georgia.

Any person in the following categories is eligible to be an affiliate member:

• Any person enrolled in his or her second year of law school.
• Any person who is employed as a Legal Assistant, Legal Secretary, or Paralegal, and who is not eligible for active membership.

Any person who has rendered distinguished service to the legal profession or to the State of Georgia or to the United States may be elected an honorary member of the Association by the unanimous vote of the Executive Committee.

Any law student or any law school graduate awaiting admission to the Bar provided such person has not exceeded his or her second anniversary of graduation. Students are expected to donate 10 hours of service to the bar. Luncheon attendance is a $20 fee and any social event is a $10 fee.
